Gondola systems come fully or partially assembled for easy assembly. For example, Ox Gondolas have a fully welded steel frame. The centre core panels simply lock onto the posts and can be strengthened internally with stiffening ribs. On the other hand, Vivo Gondola shelving comes manufactured either as a 2-part flat packed item (a vertical core and a base), or fully assembled.

How Much Weight can Gondola Shelves Support?

As a general guide, the shelf load capacity for gondola shelving is around 50kg. This can change depending on what the shelf is made out of and how well it is reinforced. You should avoid overloading your shelves, as this can lead to bowed or broken shelves, safety hazards, and cluttered merchandising.
